Poetry is now alive in me. Poetry now makes me alive.
First a haiku, then a tanka, now a haibun.
The soul is alive in poetry.
The sparseness of a haiku entices it to sing a merry tune.
The freedom of additional verses of a tanka is sweet dessert.
And haibun. Haibun encourages the best from the mind and soul.
Haibun allows the mind and the soul to dance
to the combined harmonies of prose and poetry.
Poetry is food for the soul,
music for the mind
and inspiration for the spirit.

Love the lines: Poetry is food for the soul, music for the mind and inspiration for the spirit.
That’s captures how I feel when poetry stirs me.
